As I read books, if I expect that there’s going to be a sad ending or something I will often look up how the story ends and when I did this for this book found that it’s a Reese Witherspoon book club book and apparently she is quoted as saying “I thought this book was really funny“. While there are certainly funny parts in the book from situations the character finds herself in, I find it to be melancholy at times but hopeful. I enjoyed the book and still think about it after finishing it. I’ve recommended it to friends and family.
