Ruby Landers did it again! She has definitely become one of my favorite sapphic authors. There is no works of her yet that I did not devour. And Ribbonwood is kind of a breathe of fresh air in today's predicament where women are being silenced, undermined, mistreated, and such. Ribbonwood is an aspiration. May we all have a Lara Bennett in a world full of misogynistic, sexist, and abusive men.

This is an enemies-to-lovers, outcast MC, small town romance, wherein the MC, Ollie Gabrielli is temporarily back in town and happened to bump into her old nemesis from high school who has been the town outcast, Lara Bennett. Are all the rumors about the town outcast true? Or those are just ploys to depict a certain reputation? Will Ollie be able to see through Lara? Although there is a fragment of mystery in this book, this is eminently romance with a dash of smut. 😅

This book is full of tension and steam. The mystery plot is so good but I wish it was further elaborated. This is more of a romance though, so kindly manage your expectations for twists and the plot. There is so much potential for the plot and I'd love for the author to further the story. Nonetheless, this is such a great and enjoyable read.

This book is a perfect portrayal that not everything we hear and we see is true. People will always talk about people, its how someone use it. Framing perspectives to fit once advantages or disadvantages.

The story doesn't feel rushed but there are still plenty of details I would've love to know more. Wish there is a longer epilogue 🤞. And I really would love to read more about Lara and Ollie, mostly Lara.

I never expected this book to be this hot and steamy, and I am not complaining about it 😅. I love the kind of spice this book have. The dirty talk, the foreplay, the teasing—everything is divine!

The banter on this book is chefs kiss. The back and fort is golden! I love how gentle their dialogues are, but at the same time bold, cocky, and comical.

Another thing I absolutely love about this book is how upon reading it, you will absolutely love both MCs equally. They are both complex characters that comes with different complications. Its not a damsel in distress kind of conflict but something only time and experiences could resolve. Both characters were independently capable, but better together.

One thing I love about Ruby is her writing technique, she writes in a way that is not tiring for the readers. Easy to read and understand. It was such a cozy reading experience despite the premise of the story. Also, the diversity on her books is just golden. Landers makes sure there is representation and that matters so much.

If you want a book that empowers women, women supporting women, women loving women, and women in general, then you should definitely pick up this book. It will not disappoint.
