Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen, Seth Grahame-Smith

Note Review Format:
Positives:
* the girls are B A D A S S and do not get pushed around by no man
* the fact that mister bingley can’t fight but still respects jane who can made me happy!
* zombie fighting is awesome and i really liked the creativity and new ways that lizzie and darcy become a team with zombies around
Negatives:
* disappointed with the hidden theme of when married, you must put away your sword. they had this theme of Darcy and Lizzie becoming an amazing fighting duo, only to ruin by saying she doesn’t fight anymore after getting married, only practicing in the dojo.
* takes a while to get into, in my opinion, with the language and vocab, which isn’t helped when the beginning of the book is so slow to go into the plot.
* ninjas and studying in china or japan is not awesome and actually kind of pulled me out of the experience of reading this book. it wasn’t very clear if this book wanted to be taken seriously with adding this “ninja training”.
The Movie:
* far better plot than the book had going for it, while in keeping with canon of pride and prejudice in my opinion.
* stick around after the credits
* rating - 3/5, the film got 7/10
