I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did! I'm not a fan of age gap relationships in media because they are usually badly done, but I thought the author did a great job exploring the complexities of their relationship.
I genuinely felt that it made sense for them to be together and the support they had for each other was awesome to see.
This story was a lot sadder than the previous 2 books, but I think that's why it touched me more. The complexity of Gabriel's relationship with his father was interesting as well as Lance's relationship with his son. I didnt find those parallel as weird as I thought initially, but it was very much "oh there are some daddy issues here" which I'm glad the author acknowledged.
I'm also DYING to figure out what is going on with Malone and im so excited for the next book!!
