i don't have enough words to explain how much this novel has come to mean to me. but if there's one thing i can say, it's that i've never felt myself transported back to the child i used to be, immersed in fantasy books and awestruck by the worldbuilding, like i was during the course of me reading this. it was familiar; it felt like coming home
