'Maybe the biggest difference between the two kinds of monsters (outside of bad monsters being totally uncool) is that good monsters know that they are monsters!'

This is the creatively drawn journal of 10 year old Karen, who self-identifies as a werewolf in her art. It is so beautiful and poignant. Book Two has Karen continuing to draw her way closer to the truth of who killed her holocaust surviving neighbor. Karen is grappling with so much, both internally and externally, and the way she expresses that in her drawings is pretty incredible.
