Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

5.0

This book was different from any YA contemporary I have read. The whole thing was a big metaphor you can literally feel the "John Green" vibe throughout it. I loved it but for some reason, I don't think I could give it a full 5 star.

UPDATE:
going back to the book and reading my highlights and thoughts and everything... I think I gave the book a lower rating than I should've given it.
I'm changing it to 5 stars... I REALLY LOVED IT.
It described a lot of things I was going through. Of course not as intense as she had it but still it was very easy to relate to. I think if it was up to me I would've highlighted the entire book because of the beautiful words and sentences that were ON POINT. Perhaps when I first rated it, I thought about it in a different way. The whole story wasn't about finding the mystery of Russell Pickett. it was all about the characters, the thought spirals, the mental health issues and so much more. I would definitely be rereading it!

My John Green book rankings are:
1-The Fault in Our Stars
2-Turtles all the way down.
3-Paper Towns.
4-Looking for Alaska.
5- An Abundance of Katherines.
6-Will Grayson, Will Grayson.
