This novella has all the usual humour of Nicole Parker’s books, but it’s also very emotional. I think this is the book in the Kyleverse that has moved me the most so far.

Reese is really a character you want to comfort after the breakup she didn’t see coming. Luckily, Kyle is always incredibly supportive. He doesn’t hesitate for a moment to agree to share an apartment with her, and he doesn’t ask any questions when he’s drawn into Reese’s dreams of Alora—this isn’t his first sentient object. As for Alora, she radiated a great sense of gentleness behind her melancholy.

In short, I loved the book, and who would have thought that Kyle still had secrets for us? In any case, thanks to his knowledge, he quickly introduces Reese to new experiences 😏
