My only prior knowledge of the LoL universe us arcane, which is basically 0. Rhis was an incredible story that made me want to pick up the game only to be able to stay in the world and see more of the characters, places and their fate. It read very quickly and easily and was very well written imho. The characters were pretty fleshed out, even if sometimes a bit tropy or did a few things to serve the plot, nothing jarring. The madness and struggle was well done and I'd love another book from the world and to see the aftermath of Ruination.
