This one was hard to rate - I was SO excited for it because I love Ruth ware but I just wasn’t really feeling this one. I did like the ending, I didn’t not like it - but I didn’t love it like I have all her other books. So for me, this is a three (I normally listen to this is like two days, but it took me three months to finally finish it) - BUT I can see the argument for it being a five star rating for someone else so I rounded up. I do think if you like survival books with a bit of lord of the flies like behavior when stuck on a deserted island than this 1000% for you. I have friends and patrons at work who I would enthusiastically recommend this book to. But it wasn’t really for me. Well written as always, interesting characters, and Imogen Church is a PHENOMENAL narrator.
