brom quickly made me into a big fan after i read slewfoot and i just had to read krampus after that one. i decided to read this right on christmas eve/day and easily flew through it. i wish it was as good as slewfoot but it doesn't quite compare. i wasn't a huge fan of the more modern setting to be honest. of course i loved krampus and his mischief and confusion towards "the new world" and the belshnickel's attempt at guiding him but ending up acting more as babysitters as he hopped around town causing chaos. it felt like one last little hoorah for him. i wasn't terribly into jesse's storyline, but i still thought this was a fun yuletide read and i had a good time. and of course, the accompanying art is always the best little bonus. i just wish it had lived up to my expectations!!!
