This book is all pain and all hope. With the war in Ukraine and the Hamas-Israel conflict, this book is timely, relevant, painful; it asks how we can expect people to leave their homes when their homes are attached to the lands that make up the fibers of their bones. Additionally, it’s a dystopian nightmare that does not primarily ask how we enter a dystopia (perhaps we already know this by now), but instead how that dystopian nightmare injures all, wounds all, murders all.
