"There was something about you from the very beginning that called to me, that told me I needed you just as much as you would me."

This is not an easy read. Compelling, complex, dark, and entirely worth it, but not easy. This covers bullying, abuse by a parent, and a whole heck of a lot of hurt comfort. Also a really satisfying happy ending.

It’s truly hard to prepare yourself for the journey that is Hidden Scars. You will feel pain, sadness, hurt, and a whole lot of anger. Not to mention a lot of explosive chemistry. But by the end, you’ll feel warmth and happiness.

It’s hard not to give too much away, but these two come together when they end up on the same college hockey team and as roommates. From there they end up on a difficult journey. One that goes from hating Preston, to realizing how incredible both these young men are.

"He shows me that I'm lovable even in the dark moments when everything tells me otherwise. "

If you love, angsty, dark, emotional stories…you need to pick this one up!
