I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

5.0

as someone who absolutely hates being left with unanswered questions. i adored this.

the whole focus of the story being around the dystopian world, the unanswered confinement of 40 women on a unusual unnamed planet. also the deeper focus on life itself as human, through interactions, love, reproduction and life. this was a masterpiece i’m so happy i got to witness.

“perhaps, somewhere, humanity is flourishing under the stars, unaware that a daughter of its blood is ending her days in silence.”
