Murder at the Gardens by Lisa Cutts

5.0

I like cozy mysteries and I love how the characters become a sort of literary friends and care for them and follow the changes in their life hoping they will be for the best.
Belinda and Harry became two of these literary friends and I was very happy when I started this new novel as I knew I was going to read about them.
I was also a bit worried when I met Belinda’s former lover as it could have been the start of a love triangle and they are one of my pet peeves in the cozy mystery world.
Nothing happens on that side, but a lot happens on the mystery side.
A zoo, plenty of animals, weird characters, murders, and plenty of suspects.
It was the best instalment in this series, and it was the one I preferred as it’s full of twists, fast paced, and there’s a lot of developments and actions.
The mystery is solid, and I wasn’t able to guess the culprit even if I tried.
The characters are fleshed out and I like the developments in Belinda and Harry.
We must wait for the next story and I’m very curious to see what will happen.
This one is strongly recommended.
Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
