Bromantic Puckboy by Eden Finley, Saxon James

emotional funny lighthearted fast-paced

5.0

Bromantic Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James tells the story of veteran hockey forward, Cody Wilson, and rookie net tender, Miles Olsen. They hit it off as friends quickly due to teasing banter and both being new to the team in Nashville. Then friendship becomes casual s3x, and s3x becomes romantic.

I love the hockey Saden especially the way the players razz each other and yet are also so supportive and understanding when a fellow team member needs it. And I love the Queer Collective. It continues to grow and become stronger, while giving us a glimpse of our past favorite guys.

This book is s a really beautiful story of self-acceptance, growth, love, and pride. Miles battles with coming out to his semi-religious parents. Cody struggles with fear he will attach too soon and smother Miles. However, together they face their fears and the results are fantastic. There's a high level of romance and heat and the witty repartee is on point. There's barely any angst and it's very well written. (Of course. It's by Saxon & Eden!)
