Lau’s story! Omg I’ve been waiting on his story since I read Whispers In The Dark.
He is so arrogant and dramatic. There’s more to this sleep demon than just his prickly attitude though. Lau saves Ivy from an attack that nearly killed them (Ivy is a non-binary character). He’s already pretty smitten with Ivy even though he tries to act like he’s not. He nurses Ivy back to health and during that time they grow pretty close.
Ivy is quite a firecracker, giving it the dramatics and attitude right back to Lau.
I absolutely loved these characters. And the scene with the Golrath had me cackling. It was hilarious. I adored this book and it seems each one has a new character I’m hoping get their own book, Vari I’m looking at you. I loved Lau’s brother Vari, he had me in hysterics.
This is such a cute, fun, sweet, read. We also get to see our friends Nor, Cody, and of course the ferocious Crumbs.
