Laughing All the Way to the Mosque: The Misadventures of a Muslim Woman by Zarqa Nawaz

Short, funny read! I read this one quickly and laughed out loud a few times 😄 Each chapter is a different story throughout the author’s life. I learned quite a lot about Islam and what it’s like being a Muslim in Canada (like funeral rituals, Eid, and bathroom habits). Her writing style was funny and warm, like catching up with a friend! Also because it’s Autumn and she’s on my mind, the author’s voice/sense of humor gave me Lorelai Gilmore vibes-just the way Nawaz described her thought process was very Lorelai-esque (trying to get my fellow Gilmore Girls fans more of a reason to pick this one up) ☺️
Overall I really enjoyed this and would recommend for anyone looking for a light, entertaining memoir, especially if you want to learn more about Islam and the Canadian Muslim community!
