This whole series (3 books) is very bizarre and the issue of consent in all the books is very problematic and bothers me. On the other hand, making us uncomfortable and raising discussions might be exactly Butler's point.

Aliens is certainly not my kind of story, but overall I liked parts of it and I was glad to read it. I don't think that I'll be reading again a book involving Aliens any time soon, but I wouldn't put it past me.
