this was...so so beautiful. i don't remember the last time i cried while read a book, but while i was reading this (exclusively during my commute!) i was openly weeping on the train. it hit me in the feels so hard, and i barely even know why. this had me so deeply in my feelings i got more upset every time something interrupted me.
everything about this was stunning. the prose is beautiful. simple but evocative, wringing emotion out of you. the plot is simple, but the relationships and emotions the author manages to bring out in these characters is what makes this so phenomenal. i waited nearly 2 months to get this from the library and i can say with full confidence it was worth the wait. i loved everything about this. it resonated with me in a way a book has not in a long time. i want everyone to read it.
