I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would! I was so intimidated by it being that it's over 50 years old, a CLASSIC of Sci Fi and a good 600 pages long, but I actually found it pretty accessible. I was confused at times of course, but never to the point of discomfort. I was just enthralled the whole time. My only complaints are that the writing can be clunky and isn't the most technically sound and the characters aren't always the most fleshed out, but even these things didn't bother actually me that much.
