This felt like meeting up with an old friend. Really recommend reading all of The First Law books (the first trilogy, standalones, The Age of Madness trilogy, and even Sharp Ends) before diving into this one.

This was four short stories primarily about Age of Madness characters. It gave some context to decisions made in that trilogy.
