A Prairie Girl's Faith: The Spiritual Legacy of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Stephen W. Hines

4.0

As someone who grew up adoring the Little House on the Prairie books, I was very excited to find this book in a discount catalog and order it. Hines wrote an impeccable narrative and provided a lot of information on Mrs. Wilder, but didn't seem to focus on his goal. This read more as a biography that loosely touched on her faith here and there, instead of faith as the primary focus as the title and summary read. I'd still recommend this for any fan, but four stars for the fact I didn't totally get the thesis until well into the book.
