Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

No mourners, no funerals. Another way of saying good luck. But it was something more. A dark wink to the fact that there would be no expensive burials for people like them, no marble markers to remember their names, no wreaths of myrtle and rose.

5 stars. actually, all the stars in the world for the amazing end to this amazing duology.

i'm at a loss for words, no lie. this made me feel all the feelings. i will never get over the elaborate schemes leigh bardugo somehow (???) comes up with that i barely understand but love the genius of. i love the characters. i love their developments. i love the relationships, romantic and platonic. i love the dynamic of the crows. i love the writing, the beautiful, beautiful writing. i love that this book made me cry and laugh and, again, feel SO MANY FEELINGS. i just have so much love for this that i never expected to have and it's overwhelming me.

i'm not sure how to end this. i'm still not sure how to properly review this. but if anything, my loss for words is an indication of how amazing this is.
