The Boy, the Mole, and the Horse by Charlie Mackey is a short heartfelt read that seeks to impart wisdom and affirmations using these characters in beautiful, impressionistic art. I did this as a buddy read with an IRL friend.

This book only took about 10 minutes to read and gave me major goosebumps the whole time! I could feel myself getting emotional just reading things that are important to hear, but ultimately, simple.

This book is everything and I will continue to read this throughout the year whenever I need a pick me up or have intrusive thoughts.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes that almost had me in tears:

"What do you want to be when you grow up?

Kind."

"Imagine how we would be if we were less afraid."

"One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things."

"Honesty is always interesting."

"Don't measure how valuable are by the way you are treated."

And now I'm gonna go sob 😭.
