Rosemary is a human, who boards the Wayfarer a multi-species spaceship with many varying personalities. There’s Sissix a friendly reptilian pilot, different humans Kizzy and Jenna who are the ships engineers, Lovey the ships AI system, Dr Chef the caring blob like figure, Ashby the ships human Captain and Ohan whose a non-binary Sianat Pair who sees through time. With a special job to travel through the galaxy Rosemary gets a life better than she ever could have asked for.

If you like cozy sci-fi with a character led story, looking at how we interact as humans with gender, sexuality and race all being considered, this is for you! It’s so clever and the writing is well done. Unfortunately character led sci-fi is not for me and really bored me and I skimmed close to 60% of the end of the book. 🙊 the look at people and how we interact I would’ve hoped to have grabbed me, but it just wasn’t enough and that’s okay. For the right person I can see how this could easily be a 5⭐️ read and highly recommend considering giving it a go if you’re thinking of trying sci-fi despite my rating. 🙊
