This was wonderful and I’m not surprised that I enjoyed it so much. The historical setting, and Japanese culture just sings to my soul.

The set up is your typical Cinderella story. Evil stepmother and stepsister, although the father is in the picture, absent, father, figure. Then you have the cold and aloof male lead with the quiet, humble, female lead, and of course an arranged marriage.

I was hoping a little more animosity between the two main love interest at the beginning. I found the male lead to warm up to the female lead a little quickly, but I’d be very interesting to see how their relationship develops moving forward.

The ending was very intriguing and I’m very excited to see where this is going to go. If you like historical romance manga, then I think you would really enjoy this one.
