Corrupt by Penelope Douglas

One thing I have learned about myself is that I actually love romance books with a sort of mystery twist somewhere included in the plot. Then if you include a present vs. whatever year time “flip-flop” (I don’t really know what to call it) I'm going to love the book even more.

I definitely went out of my comfort zone while reading this but I actually enjoyed the plot but more than anything I enjoyed trying to figure out what happened during “Devil’s Night” three years ago and wow I definitely got my money’s worth because my mouth literally fell to the floor!

In my opinion I don’t think this book will ever be for everyone but it was for me during this time.

Now it’s time for me to rant a little:
- Micheal is a “grade A” butt hole throughout 80% of the book and I just couldn’t like him sometimes. I mean he had his moments where I did enjoy his character but then he would “corrupt” my brain all over again. I like to think that in another universe Rika choses Kai because he’s so much more drawn to earth than I think Micheal is but idk…anyways can’t wait to read Kai’s and Damon’s books since I am fully committed to reading this series. My obsession with the Devil’s Night series should actually be studied in my opinion but that’s a topic for another day.
