Leslie McAdam always manages to craft a beautiful story. Layered and inclusive. Emotional but also hopeful and romantic.

Alden and Danny are both men who were shaped by encounters with men when they were young. Alden, shy and awkward, shied away from people even more. So much so that he’s never even been kissed. While Danny decided that the no-commitment lifestyle was the way to go. He’s always honest with the men he sleeps with - one night only.

Alden starts working at the Law Firm Danny is at, he’s excited for the new job at an LGBTQ-friendly workplace, and the extremely good-looking co-worker is a bonus. Something about Alden’s shy nature speaks to Danny. In a moment of boldness, Alden asks Danny to tutor him in the ways of men, to be more confident, and finally do more than dream about them.

What transpires is a really cute teacher/student story that has these two spending a lot of time together. And the more time they spend, the more they start to question the assumptions they’ve made about their own lives. Not to mention, they start to feel things. So many things!

They were really adorable, and sexy together, and I loved the progression of their romance and their self-discovery. Both the moms were pretty great too. And of course, we are all super excited about the next book.
