Mollie owns a boot company with her best friend but they are lacking the funds to keep her company afloat. Mollie’s father has passed away and he owns an extremely large and lucrative ranch. Mollie wants to sell the ranch and use the money to keep her company from closing. Now Cash is the ranch’s foreman and he said that the owner promised him the ranch, especially since Garrett (the owner and Mollie’s father) helped him and his brothers by giving them jobs and a place to live after their parents died. So we have two people opposed to each other one wants to sell, the other wants to preserve it, but Mollie must reside on the ranch for at least a year before she can sell it. I must admit I felt more sympathy for Cash he had such big plans for the ranch and his family’s old ranch and Mollie just wanted the money. Mollie also seemed so willing to accept large monetary donations from her father but never felt any desire to see him, call and thank him. She seemed to blame him at first for abandoning her and letting her and her mother leave the ranch. This is a true cowboy romance with the author really having you picture this picturesque ranch in Texas. I enjoyed this enemies to lovers, close proximity romance. Cash desperately wanted someone to care for him since he was constantly taking care of everyone else. I loved the angst and certain parts really pulled at my heartstrings. This is going to be a phenomenal series with all these brothers and their lives on and aroundTexas and I’m going to be here enjoying every word.
