I really loved this one a lot! It’s a slow burn romance, but done well. The romantic tension is there that it kept me engrossed, wanting to know what happens next. The real highlight though apart from the chemistry between Grey and Ethan is the character depth.
They both have their own personal struggles beyond fake dating and it plays a crucial role in their relationship should it become something more. Those last twelve chapters gave this story that extra push that exceeded what you would normally expect in a romance. That’s why I’m hesitant to even call this a romance because it’s so much more than that. There’s addiction, heartbreak, loss and ultimately who is the person you want by your side no matter what.
Five stars, all stars - I can’t wait to read anything Ava Wilder writes next.
