Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder
3.0
3.25/5
If you're looking for an introduction to the basic history of philosophy, this is the book. Told through a large number of lessons in letters from a mysterious teacher, Sophie embarks on a journey of learning philosophy and the art of thinking. While there is a large amount of textbook-like philosophy lessons, a fairly interesting storyline was also there. This book was somehow confusing for me, and I definitely was reading only the storyline after discovering a strong dislike for the lessons included. If you are looking for an interesting plot and you don't mind many philosophy lessons, do try this book!
Ps. I didn't really enjoy it as much
