SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN!!!!
I didn't realize how much I needed to read another complex fantasy book until I started this one, and it was exactly what I needed. This series is a spin-off of the Darker Shade of Magic trilogy - my favorite series ever, written by my favorite author ever. There was really no question as to whether or not I would enjoy The Fragile Threads of Power, as I love everything V. E. Schwab writes.
It has been a few years since I first read anything to do with this world, but this book gives you just enough background to refresh your memory. It's a brand new story that involves all my favorite characters, along with a few new ones, some of which who won't fully become entangled in the plot until later books. So many threads have been created in this book, and it's quite complex how it all comes together (I can see why it took years to write). But I canNOT wait for the next books, cause I need to know what happens! I need to see these characters again please!
Reading this book reminded me of the love I have for the original series and its world and characters, and I would rate this book higher than 5 stars if I could. Loved loved loved this book, and I encourage anyone who likes fantasy to pick up the original series as well.
