The Silent Mountain Man by Casey Cox

5.0

For a short story, I really loved this one especially because it was a second chance. Casey Cox has VERY quickly become a fav author & I’m excited that my library has access to their work on Hoopla. I’m also excited that all 3 stories are published! Just wish vet shop boys down under were available ⬆️ but oh well. Back to our MMCs, Harrick & Eddie had a decade to grow up & mature in spite of how they were suddenly separated & what transpired soon after. I swear, literally no one escapes this life unscathed bc until humanity is gone nasty, bad, atrocious people will always exist & hurt people hurt people. I love how Cox gently touches on sensitive topics like conversion therapy, abuse in all forms, and life’s general struggles with care but blatant honesty. Kirt Graves is my top favorite narrator & he never disappoints bringing a story to life. Listened via Hoopla Burbank.
