Pieces Of Us is amazing like I knew it would be. It’s starts basically where Maison is “captured” and ring is taken down during the party and survivors are moved to the safe house.
I freaking love Maison. During Monstrous Deeds I didn’t so much, but now that we get his side of thing, he feels so much, he loves his brother Carter so much and was literally tortured saving him, yet still beat himself up about things he wish were done differently.
Nolan, who is a survivor, I didn’t particularly like in the other books either but he was actually really sweet and once you see his perspective on things it’s easier to understand why he is the way he is.
These two men were so broken. They formed an unlikely bond and together started to put their broken pieces together, only something vital is missing and they both know it. They love each other so much but they KNOW that there is something that is lacking that they can’t give each other.
This book end in a HFN. I’m looking forward to the next book even though I’m not huge on MMM, I know they need Hunter…. So I really want to see the dynamic between Maison and Nolan (who are already in an established relationship) and Hunter.
