This was more like 1.5 stars. I spent two years tracking down a copy of this book and it was not worth it at all. There are much better pioneer stories out there, including ones with REAL PLOTS. This one has no real plot. It's like 100 pages of "she's alone THEY ARE PIONEERS TOGETHER LET THAT HURRICANE ROAR."

Seriously. So lame. Of course, I didn't like Little House on the Prairie either, so I'm not really surprised I didn't particularly respond to this one.
