Ruthless Rival by L.J. Shen

4.0

When you are the help ( or in this case the son of the help) you don't play with the princess. At first when they were young, it was two children just hanging out with each other, instead of by themselves. As they grow up crushes happen and when the father finds out what is going on, he banishes the boy to a cruel boarding school. As for the girl she tries to stay mad at her father, get answers on where the boy is but as years go by she moves on in life.

Fast forward to their current lives, the boy overcame and has become quite successful in his own life while she has made a name for herself starting her own business.

When sexual accusations are lobbied against her father, their paths crossed as he is the lawyer determined to bring this man to his knees. Over the course of the trial we learn more about their lives that led up to that fateful night and what happened after. As more and more accusations are brought to life she begins to rethink many things over her life and realizes daddy dearest might not be so innocent.

My issue is with how long the boy kept the ruse going before the girl begins to question everything he won't share about his past.

and I am not a fan of HEA, I wish she would of crushed him the way he broke her heart.
