Kingdom of Claw by Demi Winters
fast-paced
5.0
The second installment in the Ashen series was just as incredible as the first! Demi Winters has woven an even richer, more intricate tale in Kingdom of Claw, and I’m as invested as ever in this world.
Getting to see more of Saga was such a treat. Her chapters were some of my favorites—I loved learning about the royal family's past and the mysterious ties to the king. Saga’s resilience and determination shine through, making her an unforgettable character. Kassandr Rurik was an equally delightful surprise! The mystery surrounding him kept me on my toes, and I can't wait to dive deeper into his story in the next book. The chemistry between Saga and Kass is electric, and the twists at the end have me eagerly anticipating what’s next for them.
As for Silla and Rey, their relationship was everything I hoped for. I’ve been rooting for them since the end of the first book, and I was thrilled to see their bond deepen in this one. Rey’s backstory added so much depth to his character, making their dynamic even more compelling. The romance between them was beautifully developed and full of tension.
The magic system continues to be a highlight of this series, and I love the heavy Viking influence throughout. This book is captivating, with an immersive world and a plot full of dark secrets and surprises. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next! Highly recommend for fans of epic fantasy and slow-burn romance.
