Aurora's Angel by Emily Noon

5.0

I say this with certainty, this will be one of my favorite books of all time. I knew it was a five star (20 star really) book within the first 20% of the story and my kind never changed. I’m sad it’s over and feel as though I could continue reading about these characters for the rest of forever. I wish it never had to end. I loved every single thing about this book. Everything. Every detail. I loved the love, the banter, the magic, the world building, the symbolism, the examples of healthy communication, the sapphic spice, I could go on. I’ve read many fantasy stories but this was absolutely unique. There were twists I didn’t see coming but they were so well thought out and aligned so well with the characters and who they were. Sometimes in fantasy books I feel as though authors can stretch the magic a bit to move certain plot twists along but those stretches can sometimes feel too far fetched or as if they don’t really align with the character development and what the characters would do or say or choose but that never happened here. Somehow some way, everything flowed so well and still had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. I loved the love story that unfolded between the main characters and how they communicated for one another, how realistic their internal dialogue was and the ways they learned to care of each other’s needs. I just LOVED this book so much. I now understand what it’s like to wish I could read a book again for the first time. Do yourself a favor, read this book! Emily PLEASE KEEP WRITING and give us another beautiful tale! Please!
