The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey

3.0

For about the first 2/3 of the book I really thought I would end up rating The Au Pair Affair higher than the first book - but unfortunately the way the third act played out didn't really work for me. The conflict was fairly predictable, which I wouldn't have minded had it been done differently and been at least a bit more understandable. But the way both main characters reacted didn't make sense to me and the resolution was dragged out more than was necessary.

That was certainly a bummer, because I adored these two together and it was so fun to watch them find their dynamic and places in each others lives. I'm still glad they got their happy ending and the last scene was actually really cute. I'm curious to see how the next couple's story will go!
