( Play was my favorite so far in the series but after reading Lead, I have to say I think I liked it more and that's saying something because I love Mel weird bipolar manic self lol. But Lena's wit and strength totally stole the show to Jimmy's dark and bruting. Sigh I just loved this book. <3 ) - First Review

I re read this book over and over again, and thought I should give it a proper review.
Now I love Mal, but there is just something about Jimmy and Lena I can’t get enough of.

Maybe it’s Lena’s wit, her inner monologue. Whatever it is I love it. She takes no poop from anyone.
Her heart is on the mend so she wasn't looking to get it hurt again. Although Jimmy just kind of worms his way into her heart.

Jimmy is dealing with his addictions, and learning to be this new Jimmy one his band can count on. He has a lot to atone for but he is slowly but surely doing it.

Lena isn't like anyone he has come across before he doesn't want to feel what he is feeling. I think I like that he is so obtuse about it. The Rock Star who feels without really feeling.

I love it and the narration is fantastic.. I love, I love, I love.
