Pet Shop of Horrors, Vol. 1 by Matsuri Akino
5.0
I heard about this manga...what, like ten years ago? I never got around to picking up this series until now and I'm so sad that it took me this long! You've got your androgynously beautiful (and mysterious!) main character "D", a slew of stories of people needing various things: love, companionship, protection, revenge, an edge over the competition, validation and amazing creatures that reside in the Petshop that D manages in the place of place of his elderly "grandfather" who just so conveniently happens to always be out of the country. PERF. The stories draw you in, you seek to learn more about D and even about the people who hang around him too much and too close like moths to a flame eager to figure him out.
