How to Think Like a Woman: Four Women Philosophers Who Taught Me How to Love the Life of the Mind by Regan Penaluna
4.0
(Really 3.5 stars) — I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I’d read the physical copy and not the audiobook. Loved the chapter on Wollstonecraft (but then, I love her). I think there would’ve been some benefit from having a woman-historian coauthor, but the lack thereof isn’t a detriment either. I did enjoy the parallels drawn between her modern life and her modern struggles as a woman academic (thinker) and the struggles of the early-modern female philosophers she’s named her inspirations. All in all, she’s a very good writer.
