The story itself was... okay. It felt like reading a dumb Hallmark movie: small town, nice people, cutesy diner, romance, etc. It was even pleasant at times. Nothing memorable or mind-blowing.
Had to subtract some points because of how much I hated Kit. She was immature, selfish, bratty, entitled, and had her head so far up her ass that she never thought about things that responsible people have to think about. She was an absolute nightmare of a person and the author wanted to paint her as this magical fairy. I wanted to slap her across the face.
