I bought this picture book for a baby shower and it's absolutely ๐ STUNNING !!! ๐
~ Laura, if you see this, look away. You'll get it next week lol ~
I thought I knew what I wanted to get for said baby shower but Giinagay Gaagal: Hello Ocean took my breath away!
Growing up, I've always loved the art and stories behind the First Nations people and while I learned about it in school, it was always a quick topic they breezed past (at least in my experiences).
And even though there are other Australian children booksโlike the one's I grew up withโthose art styles have always terrified me, always.
So I'm glad I stumbled across Giinagay Gaagal: Hello Ocean because it is ๐ ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ๐
