First book of the series, and a great way to start. Great world building with very supportive family and friends. When Emma moves to the small town for the summer, her and Ashford don’t exactly hit it off. Every time they see each other they end up arguing. Due to rent control, and landlords, and other things, Emma ends up staying with Ashford and his daughter Maisie. But there are some secrets in this town. One in particular that will throw every one in town for a loop. An accident happened 3 years ago that still affects Ashford and his family, and it’s not quite over. Some people have tried to keep their secrets buried, but they have a way of coming back. But when one secret gets unveiled and chaos pursues, it leads them down the path of another, bigger secret. Now people are in danger and time is running out.

Definitely looking forward to more in Hart County. Loved the characters, main and support, and can’t wait for some of them to have their own stories. This was entertaining from beginning to end and hard to put down. You just want to know all the secrets. Ha. Anyways, great story..Will you know who did it?
