YES! There is a reason everyone is talking about this one. Also it helps that it has one of the best cover designs I’ve seen in awhile. I was so engaged in this story and so connected to these characters! Maybe too attached. There’s a plot point in particular that I actually felt angry at the author for, because it wasn’t what I wanted to happen for them. But upon completion, I completely agree that plot point was necessary for the story. The nostalgia for childhood video games is strong here, and now I have a whole new perspective on gaming. Like I really want a gameboy right now, no joke. I think a lot of people though, even non-gamers, could find the beauty in this book.
