“This is First Contact. Our world will never be the same.”'
Wow! I completely lost myself in this absolutely thrilling story of first contact. A gigantic alien ship is detected entering our solar system. Astronauts are sent up to meet it. What happens next is so suspensful and so compelling. It's the hard science made super readable of an Andy Weir mixed with the awe of discovery of a Jules Verne. Also there are parts as scary as any horror novel! I don't want to oversell it but IT'S SO GOOD!!
This is part of Peter Cawdron's First Contact series. They are standalones and can be read in any order. They all imagine a different scenario of what our first contact with an alien species might look like. I've read two others in the series and they were both great too!
'“As I speak to you, NASA, ESA and various space agencies around the world have trained their telescopes on the skies, tracking the path of an extraterrestrial spaceship entering our solar system.”'
