Well, I have to say that I started reading Hayden Hall because of his entertaining books, full of banter, romance and yes... hot moments. But in the last few books he has evolved, and although I must say that when you follow an author it's because you like their style, I also applaud those who leave their comfort zone and grow. His latest books are a sample of this.

In this story, we have both characters broken. Matthew just doesn't have the strength to go on. Nothing he does satisfies his father, on the contrary. And the only moment that he can be himself, is when he is overflowing with drugs. And Tiago is grieving, but to the point where he doesn't care what might happen to him. It could be said that he is deciding the "when" and not "if" he is going to jump off the cliff. But then they meet, and despite their mutual and initial rejection, something about the other attracts them. But even though that attraction gets stronger, and fills some deep need, it's not enough to stop the spiral of destruction they both find themselves in. However, when the culminating moment arrives, something in them pulls the other, and it is that moment in which they must decide if they can give themselves a chance.

One thing to highlight, both know that they cannot heal alone, and seek therapy, and it is thanks to this that after so many ups and downs and almost giving up, they manage to get ahead and achieve their hard-earned HEA.

Great story, with MCs difficult to connect because they don't find themselves, but you end up encouraging them to keep going. And it is also worth noting the sexy and hot scenes, which to my taste, represent them exceptionally.

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
