Everything about the story gave me the impression that I was precisely listening to a documentary,
therefore, making everything seem so real.
Throughout the whole book, I was in despair for Sadie on how she was entirely done with her life. You can feel the pained expression in her voice. The way she talks about why can't everything she has done be enough. Her thoughts alone are so powerful in a way she's telling us that after this duty of hers... That's it, she has no purpose in life which breaks me so much. This made everything feel at stake since this is her indicating justice not only for Mattie but for all of the little girls out there that the person she was seeking had hurt or still doing this too.
Sadie was strong no matter how hard it was sometimes for her to keep going and I admire her for it.
I like their sister's relationship and how she'll be there for her no matter what despite sometimes them being in rough situations. The love Sadie had for Mattie was unquestionable and sadly it was entirely upsetting how the story finished.
